Start Before You Feel Ready

Published on 12/5/2025

One of the biggest traps when chasing a goal is waiting for the perfect moment. We tell ourselves we will start when we have more time, when we feel more confident, or when everything is perfectly planned. But that moment almost never comes. Perfectionism convinces us we are “not ready yet,” and in the end, we stay exactly where we are.

What actually creates progress is taking action the moment inspiration appears, even if you feel unprepared. Action builds momentum. Once you start, the fear becomes smaller and the goal starts to feel real. Every project that exists today began as an imperfect version of itself.

Look around. Most successful side hustles started with someone creating simple content on social media. Many developers began new careers by building rough little apps that barely worked. Writers launched blogs with posts they now find embarrassing. The difference between those who succeed and those who don’t is simple: they started anyway.

I’ve experienced this too. Every time I waited to “feel ready,” nothing happened. But the moment I took even a tiny action, things changed. I learned, improved and gained confidence along the way, not before.

Overthinking keeps you stuck. Doing is what moves you forward. Make it exist first. Make it good later.

So here is my challenge for you:
Think about your goal and take one small action today.
Write the first paragraph. Record a 10 second video. Register the domain. Read one page. Open the empty project. Anything.

Start now. Your future self will thank you.
