Tip #1 to get more confidence

Confidence isn’t something you just have, it’s something you build over time.

For a long time, I thought confidence was a personality trait. Some people were born with it, and others (like me) just had to deal with not having enough. But I’ve learned that confidence actually comes from doing things, not from thinking about them.

You can repeat positive affirmations or visualize success, and yes, they might help for a moment. But real confidence doesn’t come from feeling good. It comes from taking action, even small steps.

Here are a few things that helped me understand how confidence is really built:

Kobe Bryant said it clearly: “Confidence comes from preparation.” When you have practiced something again and again, you do not need to hype yourself up. You simply know what you can do.

For me, the biggest shift was understanding this:

Confidence does not mean “I am sure I can do it.”
It means “I will try, and I will figure it out.”

Confidence grows every time you collect proof that you can handle things. Even when you doubt yourself, you still move forward, and it is rarely as bad as you imagined. Sometimes it even turns out better.

Confidence is not the starting point. It is the result.
